We are very pleased to report that Sunrise has been re-certified as a primary stroke center for the next two years! The Joint Commission sent a surveyor to Sunrise in February 2010 as part of the re-certification process and the examination of our data, processes and outcomes went extremely well. Sunrise had the first certified primary stroke center in the valley and no other facility in the area offers a more comprehensive program. This means we have been judged to have exceptional physicians, staff, facilities and care.

We are pleased to have received the American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines Gold Plus Achievement Award. This is the third consecutive year Sunrise and the Nevada Neurosciences Institute have been recognized at the Gold level. The award recognizes our commitment and success in consistently implementing and complying with the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations for stroke patients. This award, along with our Primary Stroke Center Certification, makes Sunrise’s stroke program the leader in the community.
